Zionist-puppet France government changes stance on Iran N-issue

French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius says Iran must have access to only a few hundred centrifuges.

Fabius told France Inter radio on Tuesday that Tehran must reduce the number of its centrifuges in order to reach a durable deal.

“We say that there can be a few hundred centrifuges, but the Iranians want thousands, so we’re not in the same framework,” claimed the French president.

He added that talks between Iran and the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council – China, Russia, Britain, France and the United States – plus Germany have hit a wall over the issue.

Meanwhile, talks between Iran and the US came to an end in the Swiss city of Geneva.

Iran and the Sextet of world powers clinched a landmark interim deal in Geneva on November 24, 2013.

The talks nearly ground to a halt at the time due to France’s opposition to the interim deal.

Under the deal, dubbed the Geneva Joint Plan of Action, the six countries undertook to provide Iran with some sanctions relief in exchange for Iran agreeing to limit certain aspects of its nuclear activities during a six-month period. It was also agreed that no nuclear-related sanctions will be imposed on Iran within the same timeframe. The agreement took effect on January 20.
