Terrorists’ Centers Destroyed in Syrian Army’s Air, Ground Attacks in Hama, Idlib

The Syrian Army's ground and air forces conducted a series of operations against the military positions and movements of Tahrir al-Sham al-Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board or the al-Nusra Front) in Northern Hama and Southern Idlib, destroying several of their key centers and military positions, media reports said.

The Arabic-language al-Watan newspaper reported that the Syrian Army’s artillery and missile units pounded the terrorists’ military positions and movements in the towns of al-Arbaeen, al-Sayyad and al-Latamineh in Northern Hama.

The Syrian Air Force also pounded the military positions and movements of Tahrir al-Sham and other terrorist groups in the towns of al-Jabin, Kafar Sajneh, al-Naqir, Kafar Nubl, Ariha, Jbal al-Arbaeen, Sarjeh, Taftnaz, Madaya, Khan Sheikhoun, al-Hobait and al-Amerieh in Northern Hama and Southern Idlib.

Several centers and military positions of the terrorists were destroyed in the Syrian Army attacks on safe zones in Northern Syria and their military equipment was also destroyed.

A large number of terrorists, including several of their commanders, were also killed in the Syrian airstrikes.

Meantime, Tahrir al-Sham in rocket attacks pounded the residential areas in in the city of Mahradeh, towns of al-Aziziyeh, Bardij and al-Karkat in Northwestern Hama.

In a relevant development on Sunday, the Syrian Army, backed by the country’s air force, thwarted a fresh offensive by the elite elements of Tahrir al-Sham on government forces’ military positions in Northern Hama and Southern Idlib, killing tens of terrorists.

The Arabic-language website of the Russian Sputnik news agency quoted a battlefield source as saying that the Syrian Army units engaged in fierce clashes with a group of foreign elite militants of Tahrir al-Sham terrorists known as ‘Asaeb al-Hamra’ who intended to penetrate into al-Hamamiat region.

The source noted that after inflicting tens of casualties on the terrorists, the Syrian Army warded off the terrorists’ attack and forced their remnants to retreat.

He said that the Syrian Air Force heavily pounded the terrorists’ military positions in Kafar Zita, al-Latamineh, al-Zuka, al-Arbaeen and the surrounding areas of Wadi Osman in Northern Hama, destroying several centers of Jeish al-Izza, their rocket-launching sites as well as Turkey-made armored vehicles of the terrorists, killing all the terrorists inside them.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Army’s artillery units pounded the terrorists’ movements in an area from al-Naqir to North of al-Hobait till towns of Sheikh Mustafa, al-Rakaya, Tarmala and Kafar Sanjeh, destroying several of their military positions.
