Syrian Soldiers Restore Sustainable Security to Hama-Aleppo Road

 

 The Syrian Army troops continued their anti-ISIL operation along the road that connects the town of Ithriya in Hama province to the town of Khanasser in Aleppo province and managed to take control over tens of settlements, villages and farms, restoring more sustainable security to the army’s supply road.

The army men engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIL along Ithriya-Khanasser toad and took full control over the region starting from the town of al-Rasafeh in Southern Raqqa up to Ithriya in Northeastern Hama.

A military sources confirmed, meantime, that the army men recaptured over 15 villages and farms and several positions and hills and laid siege on the towns and villages in the Northern direction of Ithriya-al-Rasafeh, paving the ground for the army soldiers to enter Southeastern Aleppo after complete withdrawal of ISIL from the province.

The source further added that the army units killed a large number of ISIL terrorists and destroyed their positions and military vehicles in the attack.

Field sources reported that a number of senior commanders of ISIL, including ISIL emir nom the guerre Abu Adam from Chechnya, Abdul Ra’ouf Salman from Saudi Arabia, Commander of ISIL suicide battalion Abu Jaber al-Sab’awi and Abu Khabab Zaher al-Ali’yowi from Iraq were among the dead terrorists.

The source further added that the army now has full control over Ithriya-al-Rasafeh highway and restored sustainable security to Ithriya-Khanasser road.

Relevant reports said on Friday that the army men carried out a fresh round of mop-up operation along the road that connects the town of al-Rasafeh to the town of Ithriya in Northeastern Hama and managed to take control over the villages of Khirbet Qasr al-Matyah and Jabal Aqroub Zaro.

The Syrian pro-government forces further deployed 15km away from their comrades in Ithriya.
