Terrorists on the verge of surrender in last stronghold in West Ghouta

Winter is quickly approaching rural Damascus, as the frigid temperature and scarce provisions hamper the jihadist rebels attempting to fight off the swarming Syrian Army soldiers in the West Ghouta region.

Most recently, the Syrian Arab Army’s 4th Mechanized and 7th Armored divisions resumed their large-scale offensive at Khan Al-Sheih, in a new bid to force the jihadist rebels of Jabhat Fateh Al-Sham (formerly Al-Nusra Front) to surrender the town.

According to a senior officer from the 4th Mechanized Division, the second round of negotiations with the jihadist rebels went sour after they demanded transportation to the Dara’a Governorate.

The Syrian Arab Army’s High Command has made it clear to the jihadist rebels that they will only transport them to the Idlib Governorate; and with winter quickly approaching, the government forces will continue to wear down the militants until they agree to terms.
