Terrorists suffer over 100 casualties at Rityan in northern Aleppo

Social media activists from the Syrian Opposition have recently revealed their significantly high death toll during the government forces’ imperative victory at the village of Rityan in northern Aleppo on Friday. The Islamist rebels reportedly suffered over 100 casualties during their defeat at Rityan, marking the bloodiest day this year for Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group), Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki, Jaysh Al-Mujahiddeen, and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) inside Syria.

Corroborating this claim was the Syrian Arab Army’s 154th Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division, who stated that a large force from Jabhat Al-Nusra entered Rityan on Thursday to help drive out the government forces from the village. According to the 4th Mechanized Division soldiers, several of the 100+ Islamist rebels killed on Thursday and Friday were children. These children were deployed to the northern Aleppo front due to a severe shortage in manpower needed to forestall the government forces’ advance along the strategic Aleppo-Gaziantep Highway.

The situation has only gotten worse for Jabhat Al-Nusra and company in northern Aleppo, as both the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the predominately Kurdish “People’s Protection Units” (YPG) are now on the offensive at two different fronts near the Turkish border and the Aleppo-Gaziantep Highway.
