The commander of IRGC stated that General Qasem Soleimani left a significant mark on history

Major General Hossein Salami, the chief commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), has commended the courage of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, remarking on his significant role in shaping history.
During a ceremony held on Monday to commemorate the fifth anniversary of General Soleimani’s assassination, Salami lauded the contributions of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Executive Council head Sayyed Hashem Saffiedine, and General Soleimani in Lebanon.
He stated that adversaries are attempting to displace Muslims, further noting that General Qasem Soleimani played a key role in safeguarding the Muslim community.
On January 3, 2020, Iranian General Qassem Soleimani and senior Iraqi commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis were killed in a U.S. military operation near Baghdad. The attack, which directly targeted these prominent figures known for their roles in regional anti-terrorism efforts, was ordered by then-President Donald Trump.
Earlier, a spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Esmaeil Baghaei Hamaneh, affirmed the nation’s determination to seek legal action against those responsible for the assassination of General Qasem Soleimani.
