The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has launched consecutive assaults on key Israeli targets
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a coalition of anti-terrorism combatants, has launched two consecutive assaults on Israeli targets within the occupied territories.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced it had carried out a drone strike targeting a significant site located in the southern region of the occupied territories.
On Sunday, the group released an additional statement claiming responsibility for an attack utilizing drones on a “military target in the southern part of the occupied territories.”
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced that the recent attacks were conducted to show solidarity with the populations of Palestine and Lebanon, and as a reaction to the atrocities allegedly perpetrated by the occupying forces against civilians, including women, children, and the elderly.
The group pledged to intensify its attacks on Israeli targets, promising to escalate the frequency of its operations.
Since October 7 of the previous year, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has been engaging in operations targeting sensitive locations throughout the occupied territories. This follows the onset of what they describe as a genocidal conflict initiated by the Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip.
According to recent reports, the Israeli military offensive has resulted in the deaths of over 44,211 Palestinians, with the majority being women and children. Additionally, approximately 104,567 individuals have sustained injuries amid the ongoing hostilities.
Since initiating its military operations against the Gaza Strip in October 2023, Israel has also extended its offensive to include targets in Lebanon.
The Hezbollah resistance movement in Lebanon has launched a series of retaliatory operations in response to ongoing aggression, focusing its efforts on targets within the occupied Palestinian territories.
Since late September, Israel has intensified its military operations against Hezbollah following the outbreak of conflict in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of individuals.
According to the health ministry, the ongoing conflict has resulted in at least 3,754 fatalities and left 15,626 individuals injured since hostilities erupted last year.
The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has launched counterattacks on U.S. military bases located in Iraq and Syria. These actions are in response to the United States’ extensive political, military, and intelligence backing of Israel amidst ongoing conflicts in Gaza.
