Thousands Protest in `Tel Aviv` Demanding Prisoner Swap, Early Elections
Thousands of Israeli settlers protested on Saturday evening north of Tel Aviv in occupied Palestine against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government, which they believe is neglecting their demands for a prisoner exchange deal.
Settlers blocked Ayalon Street in `Tel Aviv`, calling for an immediate prisoner exchange agreement and early elections within the Israeli entity.
Additionally, Zionist protesters set up several tents on Rothschild Boulevard, Tel Aviv’s financial district, on Friday as part of a protest demanding Netanyahu’s government reach an immediate agreement for prisoner exchange.
On Wednesday, the Israeli Prisoner Families Forum led a convoy of vehicles from the Prisoner’s Square in `Tel Aviv` to the Gaza border, reiterating their demands for a prisoner swap. In a statement announcing the convoy, the forum noted that “the opportunity to return everyone diminishes with each passing day.”
