Three US-backed SDF commanders assassinated in Aleppo’s Menbeij

Three field commanders from the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were assassinated inside the northeastern Aleppo city of Menbeij on Friday night.

According to local reports, the three YPG commanders were targeted by IEDs placed inside their vehicles that were later detonated by unknown assailants inside Menbeij.

Recently, Turkish-backed rebels have attacked Menbeij in a bid to kick out the SDF troops that control this city in Aleppo’s northeastern countryside.
