Top Commander: IRGC at Peak of its Power, US and Israel Unable to Challenge Corps’ Capabilities

The second-in-command of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has stated that the strength of the elite force is so great that the US and Zionist forces cannot withstand it.

On Tuesday, Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi stated that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has significantly advanced in both physical and spiritual dimensions.

Fadavi stated that when material and spiritual capabilities are combined, an unbeatable power is formed that cannot be resisted by any evil forces, such as the United States and Israel.

He contended that defending the Islamic Revolution cannot be accomplished solely through military means, and thus, the IRGC is tasked with securing the revolution for the Iranian nation.

On Saturday, Iran marked the anniversary of the founding of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

On the occasion, Nasser Kan’ani, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, tweeted that the IRGC is a “powerful arm” that defends the Islamic Republic and its national interests, angering its foes.

Kan’ani tweeted on Saturday that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is an influential force that safeguards the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran’s interests, bolsters the nation, and guards the nation’s security.

On April 22, 1979, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), also known as “Sepah”, was established by Ayatollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, with the purpose of protecting the new Republic. The IRGC and the Iranian Army have worked closely together when facing external threats, such as during the 8-year war imposed on Iran by former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein in the 1980s.

The IRGC has done a great deal in the battle against terrorist organizations active in the area. Additionally, it has provided assistance to the Iranian people during times of distress, such as natural disasters.

In 2019, the US State Department took an unprecedented action by labeling the Guards as a terrorist organization, making it the first time the military of a sovereign state had been labeled as such.
