Top Security Official: ‘israel’, Supporters Collapsing

Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani said that Israel and its advocates are losing power, stressing that anti-Palestinian plans are soon to fail.

“The Zionist regime and its supporters are in fragile conditions and are collapsing despite the resistance groups’ progress and their increased role in crucial regional equations, and the fake plans which are against the Palestinian people’s will and determination will never yield result,” Shamkhani said at a meeting with a Palestinian delegation headed by Hamas Politburo Deputy Chief Saleh al-Arouri in Tehran on Tuesday.

He underlined that Iran will continue support for the Palestinian cause until the resistance stream’s full victory over the “child-killer occupying” Israeli regime.

Shamkhani also blasted certain Arab states for attempts to stir a rift between the resistance groups and true supporters of Palestine, saying that these states are linked to Israel and receive the Zionist regime’s advice on how to kill Muslims.

He described resistance and reliance on Palestinian willpower and self-determination as the only way to win and restore the Palestinian people’s rights.

In relevant remarks on Monday, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei underlined that remarks by Hezbollah Chief Seyed Hassan Nasrallah about saying prayers at Beit al-Muqaddas were a completely achievable goal.

“That Mr. Seyed Hassan Nasrallah says ‘I will pray at Masjid al-Aqsa (Al-Aqsa mosque), God willing,’ is an absolutely practical and achievable aspiration for us. If we all act upon our duties, the divine promise will definitely come true,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a meeting with al-Arouri in Tehran.

“The victory of the people of Palestine and the return of this holy land to the World of Islam is not a strange and unattainable matter. 40 years ago no one could believe that in Iran — which was the center of US’s influence and aspirations — a religious government would emerge and the Israeli embassy in Tehran turn into Palestine’s embassy,” he added.

“On the issue of Palestine, the Islamic Republic observes no ceremonies with any country in the world,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

“We have always clearly declared our viewpoint on Palestine. Even on the international era, countries that are our friends — with whom we do not see eye to eye on this issue — know that to the Islamic Republic, the Palestinian cause is absolutely serious,” the Leader asserted.

He noted that one of the important reasons behind the animosity against the Islamic Republic is the Palestinian cause, and said, “But such enmities and pressures will not make Iran give up on its stances regarding Palestine; because supporting Palestine is an ideological and religious matter.”

“If the World of Islam unitedly resisted on the issue of Palestine, it would have been in better conditions. Certain states — that are US cohorts — like the Saudis’ distancing themselves from the Palestinian cause was a foolish act; because if they supported Palestine, they could have gained concessions against the US,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

He warned that the dangerous conspiracy of the ‘Deal of the Century’ is aimed at destroying the Palestinian identity among the Palestinian public and youth, and said, “This is the main point to be confronted and we should not allow them to destroy the Palestinian identity by use of money.”

“Confronting the Deal of the Century requires promotional, cultural, and intellectual efforts and the other method is to make the Palestinians feel advancement. Today Palestinians are equipped with precise missiles rather than stones and this means the feeling of advancement,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.

“Hamas stands at the core of Palestine’s movement, just as Palestine stands at the core of the World of Islam’s movement. Victory isn’t gained without resistance and fight and based on the irrefutable divine promise, we believe that the Palestinian cause will definitely end to the benefit of the people of Palestine and the World of Islam,” he underlined.

In the beginning of this meeting, al-Arouri submitted a letter from Ismail Haniyeh, Chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau, to Ayatollah Khamenei.

Ayatollah Khamenei appreciated the important and welcoming positions of Haniyeh in the letter, and said, “Hamas stands at the core of the Palestinian movement, as Palestine stands at the core of the Muslim World’s movement.”

Regarding the defiance and resistance of the people of Gaza and the West Bank as an indication of victory and success, Ayatollah Khamenei asserted, “God has promised assistance and victory to those who stand steadfast for his cause, yet the realization of this promise has requirements, of which the most important ones include Jihad, struggle, and tireless efforts in various dimensions including political, cultural, intellectual, economic and military aspects.”

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic emphasized that when it comes to the Palestinian cause, the Islamic Republic of Iran does not observe any reservations in dealing with any country of the world, and added, “We have always clearly and plainly announced our viewpoints regarding Palestine, and even on the international arena, our friends with whom we do not see eye to eye on the issue of Palestine, know that the Islamic Republic is absolutely serious regarding the Palestinian cause.”

Also, on Sunday, a political deputy of the Iranian Armed Forces command underlined the necessity for taking back the occupied Palestinian lands from Israel, specially the holy Quds.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has stood behind the gates of Quds since the beginning of (Islamic) Revolution (1979) and will not rest until gaining the result and freedom of Quds,” said General Rasoul Sanai-Rad, the deputy head of the commander-in-chief’s political and ideological office for political affairs and a former deputy commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), addressing a forum in the Western province of Kermanshah on Sunday.

He also said that Iran’s power was the result of its Islamic Revolution and the revolutionary spirit of its people, adding that for the same reason the US had been forced to form a military arrangement against Iran but it had no power to confront the country.
