Truce breach opened gates of hell on Israel: Qassam Brigades

0The military wing of Hamas has vowed to deliver crushing blows to Israel after the Tel Aviv regime violated a ceasefire and resumed its merciless onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades said on Tuesday the Israeli regime had “opened the gates of hell on itself” through its latest killings in the blockaded territory and warned that the Tel Aviv regime would “pay the price for its crimes.”

Israel renewed its military strikes against the Gaza Strip on Tuesday ahead of the expiration of a recently-agreed truce at 2100 GMT.

Three Palestinians, including a Palestinian infant, were killed in Israeli airstrikes against the besieged enclave on Tuesday.

The Tel Aviv regime claimed that the strikes were in response to earlier rocket fire from the blockaded enclave. “The rocket fire which broke the ceasefire also destroyed the foundation on which the talks in Cairo were based,” Mark Regev, an Israeli spokesman, alleged.

Hamas, however, has rejected Israeli accusations that the Palestinian resistance movement breached the temporary ceasefire in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said Israel launched the strikes with the aim of sabotaging the truce talks between officials from Palestine and Israel in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

“We don’t have any information about firing rockets from Gaza. The Israeli raids are intended to sabotage the negotiations in Cairo,” Abu Zuhri said.
Early on Wednesday, Azzam al-Ahmed, the head of the Palestinian negotiating team in Cairo, said the truce has collapsed, blamed the Tel Aviv regime for the failure of the ceasefire.

“We are leaving tomorrow, but we have not pulled out of negotiations,” Ahmed said.

According to Hamas officials, despite the fact that the temporary truce was supposed to be in effect, there were at least 25 airstrikes across Gaza on Tuesday.

Following the regime’s violation of the truce, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said it launched 10 retaliatory rocket attacks on several Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv.

The Israeli military confirmed that at least one rocket hit Tel Aviv’s metropolitan area.

Israeli warplanes and tanks have been pounding the blockaded sliver since early July, inflicting heavy losses on the coastal enclave.

Nearly 2,020 people, mostly civilians, have lost their lives and some 10,200 have been injured in the Israeli war on Gaza.
