Trump backing losing policy on Iran: American writer

US President Donald Trump “has backed a losing policy” with the Islamic Republic of Iran, a policy which has turned the Trump administration into “a complete adjunct of the Israel lobby,” an American writer and former professor has said.

E. Michael Jones, the current editor of Culture Wars magazine, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Sunday while commenting on a statement by the United States Special Representative for Iran who said that Washington will continue with its policy of harsh sanctions against Iran.

Brian Hook said on Friday that Washington plans to continue the harsh economic sanctions policy against the Islamic Republic in an attempt to bring it to the negotiating table on issues such as the nuclear program.

He said the US would like to see Iran negotiate a new nuclear agreement.
