President underlines medical advancements in Iran

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday that relying on its rich ancient history of medical sciences, Iran can be turned into a major source to offer medical treatment to the world.

According to IRNA, speaking at a ceremony to inaugurate a new building of ultra-specialized and specialty Sina Hospital, the country’s first hospital built some 140 years ago, President Ahmadinejad said in Tehran Tuesday that the practice and study of medicine and medical science has a long and prolific history in Iran, enjoying empathetic and highly specialized physicians.
He said many patients have been travelling to Iran for medical treatment, thus we should speed up progress in the field to meet the demands at the international level.
