Grand Prophet-8 drill display passive defense parameters

Grand Prophet-8 Drill which started by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) ground force on Saturday, will continue till Monday (February 25) in the southern province of Kerman.

Exercising technics and tactics of applying parameters of passive defense in a symmetric war are among the objectives of this maneuver.
On the first day of the drill, the participating units of the IRGC ground force achieved their aims via air fire support, drone information support and the IRGC artillery.
Spokesman of the Grand Prophet-8 Drill, Brigadier General Hamid Sar Kheili said that the IRGC engineering unit has reached outstanding achievements adding, “One of the basic characteristics of this maneuver is the passive defense engineering used for preservation and survival of the man force, equipment and facilities.”
Describing the full deployment of the professional units participating in the drill, the spokesman noted that all professional units including the armored, artillery and commando brigades, along with specialized battalions such as defense, tools, modern war and other units successful in capturing the pre-planned positions within an expanse of 600 square kilometers have been applied for repairing positions, staging operation, camouflage and concealing.
