Supreme Leader meets cabinet members after their session in Kermanshah

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s Cabinet headed by Vice President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi, had a session in Kermanshah Wednesday, after which they were received by The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei on 8th day of his visit of this province.

According to IRNA, the internet website of Supreme Leader’s Office in a report on that meeting said that the cabinet members presented a report on the government’s decisions and the adopted measures aimed at solving the provincial peoples’ problems and accelerating the development projects in Kermanshah Province.
The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said in the meeting that solving the problems of Kermanshah Province is in need of full determination, as well as extraordinary and special efforts on the part of the government.
His Eminence appreciated the attention that the government is paying to problem solving in this region, adding, “Entering the scene of serving the dear people of this province with a strong will and quite dynamically is necessary so that a tangible leap forward in the status of the region would be observed after that.”
The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said that the ‘necessity of serving the people throughout the country’; ‘the special fidelity, warm-bloodedness and intimacy of the provincial people’; and ‘backwardness of the majority of regional indexes compared to the average national indexes’ are three important reasons why the government must pay special attention to problem solving in Kermanshah Province.
The Supreme Leader further reiterated, “Of course a good amount of work has been done in the region, but till reaching the appropriate point for the noble people of Kermanshah Province there is still a long way to go.”
The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said that the officials’ serious concern for performing their duties towards the people is a very praiseworthy and necessary mood, adding, “The government must establish a special work group and commission it to pursue the ratifications on Kermanshah Province, the Governor General and the representatives of the province at the Parliament, led by the Supreme Leader’s representative in Kermanshah Province, too, should seriously pursue the implementation of these ratifications, so that a serious improvement in living status of the region’s people would occur.”
His Eminence said that employment is the major concern in Kermanshah Province, calling on the concerned officials to do their best to solve that problem, reiterating, “The needed prerequisites, such as attracting capitals of the private sector, constructing the required infrastructures for the agricultural, industrial and the other sectors, and solving the unemployment problem, must be provided, so that the main concerns of the province’s people and the youth would be met and they would gain peace of mind.”
Constructing irrigation canals in watershed lands of the province’s dams, expansion of the border trade and transiting of goods through the province, and solving the investment problems for the private sector were among the points hinted by The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei as other major tasks of the government aimed at development of Kermanshah Province.
The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei emphasized the need for identifying the real priorities of the province and refraining from getting busy with issues of secondary, or lower importance degrees, adding, “Plan for absorbing the required capitals for implementing the ratified projects for sure, so that you can already count on them as mission accomplished is one of the issues of top importance.”
The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei referred to the high incentive of the government for accomplishing national tasks and their dynamic mood, advising the executive branch officials, “Keep up that good spirit for serving the nation till the very last day of your tenures, and do not permit the discussions over the matter that you are passing the last two years of your service at these responsibilities leave negative effect over your efforts.”
His Eminence said that having cheerful moods in dealing with the people is the prerequisite for serving in the Islamic system, referred to the move made by Iranian Basiji, veiled Wushu world championship gold medal winner who dedicated her medal to the leader, adding, “Provincial people of all walks of life who are frankly and gallantly busy at work and endeavoring in various fields deserve to receive highest class services.”
At the beginning of the meeting which took place in the presence of the Supreme Leader’s representative and Friday prayers leader of Kermanshah, representatives of the province at the parliament and provincial officials, the First Vice President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi announced that the cabinet ministers’ Wednesday evening session in Kermanshah had 140 special ratifications, after implementation of which the development projects in the province would be noticeably accelerated.
He noted that the allocation of a special credit for eradication of the unemployment problem, provision of water for agricultural purposes, fighting against poverty, completion of the trans-province’s railway up to the borderline, expansion of the industrial infrastructures, paying attention to the small border market places, establishment of the Comprehensive International University of Western Iran, hundreds of development, rural and suburban projects, facilitating the provincial universities and cultural and academic plans are among the government’s ratifications for Kermanshah Province at this cabinet session.
Mr. Rahimi added, “A special work group of the cabinet members, headed by the First Vice President, would be convened to pursue the required strategies for implementing rapidly the final implementation of the approved and ratified plans and projects for the province.
