Iran raps US double standards on WMDs

dadb3bf360b2e724d892b82586d27dd3_LIran’s Judiciary chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani has criticized the US for its double standards regarding weapons of mass destruction (WMDs).

According to Press TV, he said the US is the only country to have used nuclear weapons and yet it accuses other states of producing nuclear and chemical arms.
He further underlined that Iran is not seeking nuclear weapons because of its ideological principles.
The Iranian Judiciary chief said “The Islamic Republic does not seek nuclear weapons, not because of the US’ threats or claims, but because we have religious standards in our defense and military affairs.”
Commenting on Syria, Amoli Larijani said Washington’s backing off from military action on the Arab country was due to the steadfastness of the resistance front.
He slammed Washington’s double standards and said the world was once again witness to the contradictions between the US’ words and deeds.
Larijani said “The Americans threatened Syria with a military attack under the pretext that Damascus used nuclear arms while they themselves have the largest nuclear and chemical arsenals.”
