US, Bulgaria hold talks in Washington

US President Barack Obama met with Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and discussed Sofia’s role in the US-led operations in Afghanistan.

According to AP, the meeting was held at the White House on Monday, with Borisov being the first European leader to visit Obama after he was reelected on November 6.
The White House said the two discussed a number of issues including the role of Bulgaria in NATO and its contribution to the US-led operations in Afghanistan.
The two are also discussed the situation in the Balkans and the Middle East.
The White House said Obama wanted to get an update on Bulgaria’s investigation into a deadly attack carried out against a Zionist regime’s tourist bus in the Black Sea city of Burgas, located some 400 kilometers east of the Bulgarian capital Sofia, on July 18.
Zionist officials said the attack was conducted as Zionist tourists from a Tel Aviv-Burgas flight were boarding the bus to go to their hotels.
Bulgaria is a popular tourist destination for Zionists.
