n00250650-b

During his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Ali-Reza Arafi referred to the November 8th American presidential election and said that the United States is an symbol of a materialist civilization and global imperialism and added that recognizing the enemies is necessary to traverse the right path.

The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran said that the world must know that the fate, values and ideals of a free, independent and sovereign Iran are not tied to the internal disputes between the American political parties and politicians.

According to Rasa, he noted that Iran has never become involved in the internal conflicts of foreign powers and added, “The US has a scandalous history of oppression of nations and we are following our own path, and we don’t consider their events and issues as important.”

Ayatollah Arafi stated that Western civilization is in a state of decline and collapse and that some weak regional countries have attempted to connect themselves to the Western civilization to protect themselves but they have made a mistake because these civilizations are being destroyed.

He said that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, understands the movements of the US and knows the American people well and we have witnessed his foresight in regard to the recent events in the world.

The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom stressed that the wrong and imperialist policies of the US haven’t changed and that if president-elect Donald Trump’s claim is true and he wants to heed the wishes of the people, he must study the cases of Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Yemen and other oppressed countries and change the US’ methods and policies.

Ayatollah Arafi said the great Iranian nation will never surrender to the greed of the imperialists and heed to the will of their authorities. “[Trump] knows that if he wants to follow the wrong path of his predecessors, he will lose the trust of the [American] people and lose power,” he said.

The dean of al-Mustafa International University referred to the upcoming Arba’in pilgrimage to the Iraqi holy city of Karbala and said that Arba’in is a passionate and divine epic which is a guarantor for the oppressed and the nations of the world must demonstrate the glory of this epic to the world by observing order and unity.
