Iranian Vice President in Lebanon

Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi took off Wednesday in a two day visit to Beirut where he will be discussing issues of mutual interest with Lebanese officials, Iranian news agency, IRNA reported.

The agency further stated that Rahimi will meet with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman, Prime Minister Najib Miqati, and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, and will discuss with them the bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.

A statement issued by Hezbollah Media relations said that the Iranian official will visit the graves of Hezbollah leader martyr Imad Mughnieh and Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Wednesday, and will visit the southern villages of Kafarkila and Maroun Al-Ras on Thursday.

Rahimi’s visit concurs with US Assistant Secretary of State Jeffry Feltman’s visit to Lebanon.
