‘Iran prepared to equip Lebanese army’

Iran’s Defense Minister, Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, has reported on Iran’s preparedness to equip the Lebanese army.

According to IRIB World Service, in reference to Lebanon’s request from Iran to equip the Lebanese army, Iran’s defense minister pointed out that in case an agreement is reached, Islamic Republic of Iran will positively respond to this request of the Lebanese government.
Previously, a minister of the Lebanese Cabinet, Hussein al-Haaj Hassan, had called on Islamic Republic of Iran to help equip the Lebanese army.
Meanwhile, Iran’s envoy to Lebanon, Ghazanfar Roknabadi, has underscored that Lebanon’s request from Iran to help equip the Lebanese army is currently studied by Iran.
