US incapable of a Syrian military campaign

The Commander of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces says possible attack on Syria is Israel’s boon to forget internal instabilities.
Brig. Gen. Sayed Hassan Firouz Abadi told reporters that Islamic Republic would defend its borders and interests, and that “we would defend our country, Islamic Revolution, and our nation.”

The commander added that the US forces had been present in the region, and they had been extending their military presence, occupying Iraq and Afghanistan, which in both had been defeated.

Firouz Abadi said that the US now had deployed its forces and warfare in Persian Gulf countries, and this had given them no other choice. “The US and the Zionist regime would defend their capitalist interests,” he added.

He commented on allegations made against Syrian government. “The allegation of chemical weapons use is ludicrous and baseless. In Egypt, the US Secretary of State was asked the question, to which he admitted having no information,” he asserted.

“ after that, a general in Occupied Territories stated that Syria had used chemical weapons, which was confirmed by the US Secretary of State elsewhere in the world, and subsequently, Obama denied that the story had been confirmed yet; this amounts, we believe, to a psychological propaganda war against Syria,” Firouz Abadi asserted.

The Commander of Joint Staff of the Armed Forces emphasized that terrorist fighting in Syria were the agents of the Arrogance and defended the Zionists interests. On the possibility of a US attack on Syria, he rejected the possibility, and believed that the US was neither capable nor willing to a military campaign against Syria.

“They have admitted this fact before. They are escaping out of Afghanistan, so how can they initiate another war elsewhere,” asked the commander rhetorically.

Firouz Abadi emphasized that Zionists wanted to implicate the US, “since they are worried about their fragile position, and hence want to see the US by their side.”

He also provided comments on the US military drill on the vicinity of Iran’s waters. “These drills are the story of one and Thousand Nights, never to be realized as war. Once working with Turkey and Lebanon, now they have found Jordan better,” he added.
