Hamas: Resistance is our people’s strategic option

On the 23rd anniversary of the Aqsa Intifada, Hamas affirmed that the Palestinian people would continue to stand together with their resistance against the occupation and uphold their national identity and constants until the liberation of their land.

Hamas reiterated that the Aqsa Mosque would remain a purely Islamic holy site and that the Israeli occupation state and government do not have any authority over an inch of it.

“The reasons that led to the outbreak of the Aqsa Intifada in 2000 are strongly present today as a result of the Israeli occupation’s escalation of its aggressive and provocative desecration of the Aqsa Mosque,” Hamas said.

“The 2000 Aqsa Intifada was a prominent landmark that reflected our people’s unity and steadfastness on the ground in defense of Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque,” the Movement added.
