US Urged Qatar to Mediate Ceasefire Dialogue with Iran
The Qatari Prime Minister stated that the United States has requested Qatar to reach out to Iran in pursuit of a ceasefire. Qatar has subsequently made the necessary communications to support this effort.
At a joint press conference alongside his Lebanese counterpart, the Qatari Prime Minister stressed that Israel’s actions are deemed “irresponsible” and are contributing to regional instability.
He stated that the United States reached out to Qatar to engage with Iran in efforts to secure a ceasefire, and necessary communications were initiated.
The Qatari Prime Minister expressed hope that the ceasefire between Iran and Israel would be maintained and urged the international community to unite against Israel, advocating for an end to the aggression in Gaza.
An official stated, “Israel’s aggressive actions towards Iran have disrupted efforts to cease hostilities in Gaza. We are hopeful that Israel will not leverage this ceasefire as an opportunity to intensify its attacks on Gaza.”
