Tens of thousands of Venezuelans gathered for a pro-government demonstration in the streets of Caracas.

The demonstration was called by President Nicolas Maduro to mark the socialist revolution started by former President Chavez against Neo-Liberalism.

Maduro said the investment programs in people’s welfare would go on despite economic recession and falling oil prices.
The demonstrators called on the government to take required steps in this regard.

They also blamed the U.S for the troubled situation in Venezuela and backed Maduro’s leadership toward an economic progress.

In this context, Venezuela’s government again slammed the U.S for alleged interference in Venezuelan politics and said further measures will be adopted by Caracas to protect the Venezuelan sovereignty against imperialism.

Ever since the start of the Bolivarian revolution in Venezuela, socialists have been struggling to leave the principles of Neoliberalism behind and establish a socialist government based on the investment of national income for the working class. Despite the fact that economic difficulties are still far from disappearing, revolution supporters believe their socialist project will succeed as long as the majority of the population stands by it.
