VIDEO: Drone footage shows the destruction of Albukamal after several days of fighting

The Syrian Ministry of Defense released footage on Friday of the liberated city of Albukamal in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The drone footage also showed the devastation of many neighborhoods in Albukamal from several days of fighting.

The Syrian government is now working to fix the destroyed neighborhoods and restore electricity and water to the entire city.

In addition to making Albukamal inhabitable, the Syrian government forces are working to clear the last so-called Islamic State (ISIS) areas near the city.
