The Syrian army continued its military operations and killed tens of terrorists in heavy clashes in the Northwestern province of Idlib on Sunday.

The army destroyed a military base of al-Qaeda-linked armed rebels in Kafr Haya in Reef (outskirts of) Idlib and killed 57 terrorists, including three of their ringleader, namely Nazal, Omar and Hassan al-Bakour today.

The Syrian army also killed more than 30 terrorists in al-Shaghr and Ein al-Asvad districts of suburban Jesr al-Shughour in Reef Idlib today. The army also destroyed the terrorists’ military equipment in the area.

Terrorists have tried hard in the last few months to make Syrian cities unsafe, specially for citizens, but the army has purged them from most neighborhoods and districts, killed hundreds of them and arrested many more.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs against Syrian police forces and border guards being reported across the country.

Hundreds of people, including members of the security forces, have been killed, when some protest rallies turned into armed clashes.

The government blames outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups for the deaths, stressing that the unrest is being orchestrated from abroad.
