Video- Old woman fleeing ISIS saved by a brave Iraqi soldier risking his life

As the battle of Mosul gradually approaches its climax, more and more civilians keep fleeing the embattled city.

Video footage below filmed by a soldier of the 9th Armoured Division of Iraqi Army shows dozens of civilians, mostly women and children, fleeing the territory still controlled by ISIL to the government-controlled areas:

As it can be seen on the video, violent firefights between Iraqi Army and IS jihadists continue non-stop.

The most remarkable episode of the video, however, is a brave Iraqi soldier saving a woman who fell on the ground and was not able to get up.

Risking his life, the serviceman reached the center of the street and, being under IS gunfire, managed to pull the old woman to safety.
