Video- Soltanieh on IAEA Report

A tired, but happy Iranian Ambassador Soltanieh, emerged from a lengthy technical briefing at the IAEA… with his head held high… Mr. Soltanieh says the closed-door meeting offered the opportunity to thoroughly question procedures used in producing the report… He says one question remains unanswered: and in asking it, listen carefully to the media’s stunned reaction…

Several media outlets have questioned and criticized the IAEA report saying it presented no new evidence… With this characterization, Managing Editor and Chief Foreign News Editor for the Kurier Newspaper, Conrad Kramer, calls it all a political game…

Kramer believes that the 2011 IAEA report – as a conglomeration of previous reports- stems from countries who are watchign the middle east closely, and unsure of the future… are stumbling over themselves…

The report has made things worse in the US and Israel he says… causing political turmoil since the report has been debunked… no one is sure of the next move… as a push for sanctions based on the report could see the public united even more against the west…

One question that has been asked in the last couple weeks is what will the relationship between Iran and the IAEA now be… Ambassador Soltanieh has said that the country will continue of course to work with the body… but expressed that he has no idea if the relationship can continue with the same trust that once existed.
