Iraq targets gathering of Daesh commanders in Syria

The Iraqi military authorities in their statement said a Daesh shelter in Al-Susah, a Syrian town in Deir ez-Zor eastern country, was destroyed and 30 Daesh ringleaders were killed.

The operation, aimed at eradicating terrorism which was conducted following the green light by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the Iraqi military source said.

Iraqi jetfighters will have the permission to use the Syrian airspace without any agreement from Damascus, Russian media ‘RT Arabic’ quoted the source as saying.

They will be permitted to bombard Daesh positions, the source added.

Assad has reportedly received a letter from Adil Abdul-Mahdi, Iraqi Prime Minister.

The letter has been submitted to Assad by Falih Alfayyadh, Advisor of the National Security Council.
