Slaughterer israeli occupation forces arrest 11 Palestinians in occupied West Bank

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested at dawn on Wednesday ten Palestinians in different parts of the cities and villages of the West Bank, including a liberated prisoner.

Local sources in the city of Bethlehem said that the Israeli forces arrested at dawn today the liberated prisoner Mohammad Omar al-Safi, 24, from the Dheisheh refugee camp adjacent to the town of Bethlehem.

The sources explained that large forces of the occupation army, accompanied by several military vehicles, stormed the camp in the night, and raided and searched the liberated prisoner’s house and severely beat his father and brother before arresting and taking him to an unknown destination.

It is noted that the liberated prisoner al-Safi was sentenced to ten years, and released within the second installment of the prisoner exchange deal of Gilad Shalit, after spending five years in prison.

Al-Safi’s arrest brought the number of the released prisoners in the deal, who were arrested by IOF to twelve prisoners, including the strikers Ayman Sharawna and Samer al-Issawi since about five months protesting against re-arrest.

Occupation forces claim that the ex-detainees who were re-arrested violated the terms of the deal by continuing their activities against the occupation, while the Palestinian side considered the arrests as a breach of the agreement’s terms under Egyptian mediation.

In a related context, the occupation forces announced the arrest of eleven Palestinians during an Israeli arrest campaign carried out at dawn today in different parts of the occupied West Bank under the pretext of being wanted by the occupation authorities.

The Israeli army confirmed the arrest of the Palestinians that came in light of a joint operation between the army and border guards “to prevent terrorist activities,” as they claimed, without clarifying the identity of the detainees and their affiliations and areas where the arrests took place.
