Iraqi forces purged a strategic bridge and three areas of the city of Saqlawiyah in Anbar province of ISIL terrorists, Iraq’s Badr Organization said.

“The Japanese Bridge, which links Samarra district with (the cities of) Ramadi and Fallujah, has been liberated,” the media office of the secretary general of the organization said in a statement on Sunday.

The statement further noted that areas of al-Arifa, Albu Matiri and Ginan in the city of Saqlawiyah, which have been under the siege of the ISIL Takfiri terrorists, were cleared of the militants.

At least five Takfiri militants, who were in explosive-laden cars, were also killed in the operations, according to the statement.

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists currently control shrinking swathes of Syria and Iraq. They have threatened all communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Ezadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.

Senior Iraqi officials have blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.

The ISIL has links with Saudi intelligence and is believed to be indirectly supported by the Israeli regime.
