Washington Imam says attacks are coordinated by FBI, CIA

Imam of Masjid al-Islam in Washington Imam Abdul Alim Musa, an outspoken critic of US policies regarding Israel, says he continues to receive life threats.

In an exclusive interview with Press TV, he said a group of gunmen on Friday attacked him in Oakland, California and violently assaulted him and the mosque he was in.

The Imam said the attack was a coordinated attempt by the FBI and the CIA.

Suddenly “several people came, led by one person who used to be with us and they had guns. They pulled out guns and they tried to break into the Masjid and I told them of course you cannot come,” said Imam Musa about the incident.

“We were in front of our Masjid last Friday, to tell the people that we are not going to have Salat al-Jumah (Friday Prayer) because it is a source of Fitna until we clean up the activities around the Masjid,” he said.

Finally “the Oakland police came with at least eight to twelve cars” as the intruders were kicking the doors of the Masjid to come inside, Imam Musa continued.

“But they didn’t come and ask us what has happened and to protect the Masjid. They protected the assailants and made sure it was easy for them to run away and hide their weapons.”

“So we see this is a coordinated effort between the FBI, CIA, Oakland Police Department, and of course the NSA,” Imam Musa concluded.

Earlier in August, Imam Musa talked to Press TV about threats to his life for being an African-American Muslim community leader.

He said that there is a picture of Imam Jamil al-Amin, Imam Luqman, and “a picture of me” on the Internet.

The message of this picture, Imam Musa said, is “Look at your two friends, if you don’t shut up and be quiet, nigger, you are next,” he said. Musa’s grandson was assassinated and his son survived shot 6 gunshot wound. The police refused to investigate the shooting.

A few years ago, the FBI accused 53-year-old Imam Luqman Abdullah of being “the radical leader of a Sunni Islam group in Detroit” and assassinated him, according to Crescent International.

Luqman was shot 20 times by the FBI on October 28, 2009 during a raid on a warehouse used as a prayer facility. Several thousand Muslims attended his funeral prayer held at the Muslim Center.

Imam Abdul Alim Musa is the founder of Islamic Institute of Counter-Zionist American Psychological Warfare and a member of the Institute of Contemporary Islamic Thought.
