We Have Documents Proving that the West Sent Weapons to Terrorist Groups in Syria

Iran’s Ambassador to the United Nations Mohammad Khazaee affirmed on Friday that Iran possesses documents proving that some European countries – mainly France – sent weapons to terrorist groups in Syria to kill the Syrian people, adding that available information shows that many Syrians have died at the hands of armed terrorist groups.

In an interview with US channels PBS and Bloomberg, Khazaee affirmed that Syria is capable of resolving its problems without interference, refuting allegations that Iran sent weapons to Syria and stressing that his country opposes interference in other countries’ affairs.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister in Arabic Middle East and African Countries Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that Syria is at the forefront of resistance against Israel, and that the west is exerting political and security pressure against Syria in cooperation with some Arab countries to set up conditions for foreign interference in it.

Abdollahian stressed that the region’s issues must be resolved via reform and faith in the people rather than rely on external sides, denouncing the west for its use of double standards regarding developments in the region.
