Hamas Leader Zahhar: The Palestinian people’s rights cannot be bargained

Senior Hamas official Mahmoud Al-Zahhar said that the Palestinian people’s national constants and their right to their land and holy sites are inalienable and cannot be compromised.

“Our constants do not change and our people’s right to their land, country and every inch of it cannot be bargained or waived even if the foreign ministers of the whole world have come together,” Zahhar stated in his Friday khutaba (sermon) in one of Gaza Mosques.

“No country can deprive our people of their right to return to their homes which they were displaced from,” the Hamas official highlighted.

He called on all Palestinians at home or abroad to uphold their rights, holy sites and faith and reject all attempts to concede a grain of the Palestinian soil.

Zahhar also strongly denounced the Arab peace initiative committee for declaring its acceptance of swapping lands with the Israeli regime in order to encourage it to resume peace talks with the Palestinian Authority.

“Today, we are dealing with a lobby seeking to fake the history, and the Arab initiative lies cannot deceive the Palestinian people,” he said.
