Over the past few days, the Yemeni armed forces have managed to prevent several ships from passing through, responding to their earlier warnings. They have vowed to continue targeting any vessel that violates the statements made in previous warnings.

The Yemeni Armed Forces also stated that they will block all ships heading to Israeli ports from navigating the Arabian Sea and the Red Sea until the blockade on Gaza is lifted and essential food and medicine are delivered to its people.

The Israeli media has expressed concerns regarding the impact of these threats on both security and the economy. Israel’s Channel 12’s Foreign Affairs Editor, Yaron Schneider, warned that the Yemenis are not afraid to carry out their threats, posing a significant risk to the port of Eilat and shipping companies.

In response to these developments, the US Central Command confirmed that a missile fired from Yemen struck a Norwegian-flagged tanker near the Yemeni coast. The ship, named “Sternda,” was transporting chemicals to the port of Ashdod, ‘Israel’, scheduled to arrive on January 4th.

The leader of Ansar Allah, Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and additional resistance in a speech. He pledged full military support and efforts from Yemen’s Rocket Force, highlighting their operations in occupied southern Palestine.
