Yemeni forces destroy Saudi America tank in Jizan
Yemeni forces have destroyed a Saudi America military tank in Jizan province in retaliation for zionist Riyadh regime’s military campaign against the Arab country.
Some Saudi military equipment were also destroyed or severely damaged after Yemen’s Ansarullah fighters and allied army units launched missiles at a Saudi military base in the region in the early hours of Saturday.
Earlier on Friday, a Saudi soldier was killed in rocket attacks by the Yemeni forces in the same troubled area.
Yemeni forces have also pounded a Saudi military camp in the southwestern Asir region with a barrage of Grad missiles.
Meanwhile, Yemeni media reports say the Ansarullah fighters managed to kill several militants fighting for Yemen’s fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, in the Masameer district of the southwestern Lahij province.
According to Yemen’s al-Masirah television network, a large number of al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorists were also killed when Yemeni forces supported by the popular committees repelled the terrorists’ assault against the Karesh region in the same province.
The developments come as Saudi Arabia’s relentless military campaign against Yemen keeps inflicting casualties on civilians.
At least five civilians lost their lives when Saudi fighter jets struck a medical facility as well as a school in the Hays district of the western province of Hudaydah.
Two more people lost their lives as Saudi military aircraft launched 10 airstrikes on Baqim district in Yemen’s mountainous province of Sa’ada.
Saudi warplanes also pounded a residential area in Tai’zz province, killing two people and wounding four women. Moreover, over 80 Saudi rockets and mortar shells hit the Kitaf district of Sa’ada province.
On March 26, Saudi Arabia began its military aggression against Yemen – without a UN mandate – in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and to restore power to Hadi, an ally of Riyadh.
According to the United Nations, the war on Yemen has killed some 4,000 people, nearly half of them civilians, since late March. Local Yemeni sources, however, put the fatality figure at a much higher number.
