Yemeni military units launch hypersonic missile aimed at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport
The Yemeni Armed Forces have announced their involvement in a targeted operation against a key Israeli facility located in the occupied territories. This action, they assert, is a demonstration of solidarity with the people of Gaza and a direct response to what they describe as renewed aggressive actions by the Israeli regime in the blockaded coastal region.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for Yemen’s armed forces, announced on Thursday morning that missile units in Yemen launched an attack on Ben Gurion International Airport, situated approximately 20 kilometers southeast of Tel Aviv. The strike reportedly utilized a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile.
Saree announced that the retaliatory strike effectively achieved its intended goals.
The Yemeni Armed Forces remain steadfast in their efforts to counter the ongoing American offensive against Yemen, now in its fifth day, according to recent statements.
Yemeni military spokesperson Saree announced an intensification in the targeting operations by the nation’s missile, naval, and air forces against adversary vessels in the Red Sea. These operations reportedly include actions directed at the United States Navy’s USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier and its accompanying warships.
A high-ranking Yemeni military official announced that the nation’s armed forces possess the capability to effectively target vessels using an array of ballistic and cruise missiles, in addition to drones.
Saree emphasized that Yemen remains determined to target Israeli-occupied territories in reaction to recent actions in Gaza, maintaining that U.S. efforts to thwart these retaliatory measures will ultimately prove unsuccessful.
He further stated that the intensification of aerial attacks will not succeed in dissuading Yemen and its citizens from upholding their religious and moral obligations to support the oppressed Palestinian population.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have announced a blockade on ships with connections to Israel in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea. This measure will remain in place until hostilities against Yemen are halted and the restrictive siege on Palestinians in the coastal region is fully lifted.
Yemeni Air Defenses Successfully Intercept and Neutralize US MQ-9 Reaper Drone
In a separate incident, Yemeni air defense forces successfully intercepted and brought down an American MQ-9 Reaper drone that was reportedly engaged in hostile operations within the airspace of the southwestern province of Dhamar.
The Yemeni military has reported that an American aircraft conducting a reconnaissance drone operation was shot down using an indigenous Yemeni surface-to-air missile.
The recent incident involving an MQ-9 drone marks the sixteenth occurrence of such aircraft being downed over the nation’s airspace since the beginning of October 2023.
Since the initiation of the intense conflict in Gaza on October 7, 2023, Yemeni forces have launched strikes against Israeli and American targets as a demonstration of solidarity with Palestinians. This action also comes as a response to what they perceive as American-British hostility towards Yemen.
The Ansarullah resistance movement in Yemen has reportedly initiated assaults on vessels associated with Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom. This move appears to be an effort to compel a cessation of what they describe as the Tel Aviv regime’s genocidal actions in Gaza.
Operations have successfully halted activities at the Eilat Port, located south of the disputed territories, leading to considerable economic setbacks for Israel.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have announced their intention to persist with military operations, stating they will continue their assaults until Israel ceases its ground and air campaigns in Gaza.
