Sunni cleric: US, Zionists fingerprints evident in Iraqi crisis

A Sunni Friday Prayer imam has said the US and Zionists fingerprint is evident in the recent violent turn of the events in Iraq.

Mostafa Shirzadi, Marivan’s Friday Prayer imam told Mehr News local correspondent that the enemies sought to reflect a violent face of Islam, believing on the contrary that Islam was the religion of peace and friendship, and “today, all groups embark on savagery and ravaging the public are not Muslims; the Prophet of Islam had always called all to peace and love of each other,” the Sunni cleric said.

“Measures taken under the pretext of defending Islam in some countries have jeopardized the public security and these measures have no place in Islamic teachings; the real Muslim is he who is source of peace and he would inflict no damage on others,” Shirzadi told Mehr News.

He believed that reflecting a violent face of Islam was a plot by the domination system, and hence, “the Zionist regime now welcomes crisis in Iraq and supports Takfirists.”

“The US and Zionist fingerprint is evident in Iraqi crisis; it is intended to deflect the public attentions from what happens in the US and the west; it spreads unrest in the Islamic country to better implement their plot undercover,” the Friday Prayer imam said.
