Turkish activist fatally shot by rabid zionist forces in the Occupied West Bank

Zionist occupation forces have fatally shot an American activist of Turkish origin during a peaceful weekly protest against settlements in the West Bank.

Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, aged 26, was shot in the head in the town of Beita, close to Nablus, located in the occupied West Bank.

As reported by the Palestinian Wafa news agency, Eygi was volunteering in the West Bank with the International Solidarity Movement (ISM). This organization aims to assist and safeguard Palestinian farmers from assaults by Israeli military forces and settlers.

Eygi became the third ISM volunteer to be killed by Israeli forces in Palestine, joining the ranks of dozens of other foreign activists who have met the same fate.

One of the most well-known incidents is that of Rachel Corrie, who was fatally struck by an Israeli tank in the Rafah area of Gaza in 2003.

“Effort to Muzzle Pro-Palestine Perspectives”

Hamas has denounced the killing, calling it a representation of ongoing assaults on foreign activists in Palestinian territories.

“The movement stated that crimes persist in the West Bank through ongoing and systematic assaults on solidarity activists by the occupying army and settler groups. These attacks occur during all peaceful solidarity events and marches in villages and towns in the West Bank that are under threat from settlement and Judaization initiatives.”

According to the statement, the regime aims to intimidate and silence anyone advocating for Palestinian freedom or showing solidarity in response to criminal settlement efforts, Judaization projects, and the genocide in Gaza.

Hamas urged the global community and the United Nations to take swift action to control the occupying regime and hold it responsible for its fascist conduct, which they claim breaches international laws.

The Hamas statement also criticized the extensive American military aid to Israel, alleging that the bullets that killed the American activist were provided by the US.

“We urge the US administration to reevaluate its partial stance and backing of the occupation’s atrocities against our Palestinian people, which has resulted in the fatal shooting of an American citizen by the occupation’s army today.”

Turkey has released a statement denouncing the killing of the young girl.

The announcement conveyed deep sorrow upon learning that Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, one of our citizens, was killed by Israeli occupation forces in Nablus.
