“Yemen’s Tornado” Strikes Two Airports, Oil Refinery in Emirates: General Sarea

The spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Sarea announced in a press conference late Monday the details of the offensive which targeted the United Arab Emirates.

General Sarea indicated that “Yemen’s Tornado” offensive was carried out in response to the recent Emirati escalation against the Yemenis, reporting the success of the attacks on the Emirati targets.

General Sarea pointed out that five ballistic and winged missiles as well as a large number of drones hit the two airports of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Al-Musaffah oil refinery in Abu Dhabi, and a number of important sites.

The Yemeni military spokesman warned UAE that it will never be safe as long as it continues escalating its aggression on the Yemeni people, adding that more important targets in the Emirates will be then struck.

Yemen has been since March 2015 under a brutal aggression by Saudi-led coalition. Tens of thousands of Yemenis have been injured and martyred in Saudi-led strikes, with the vast majority of them are civilians.

The coalition has been also imposing a blockade on the impoverished country’s ports and airports as a part of his aggression which is aimed at restoring power to fugitive former president Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi.
