Two PJAK terrorists killed in Iran

Two members of the terrorist Party for Free Life in Kurdistan (PJAK) organization have been killed in clashes with security forces near Iran’s western borders.

Acting commander of Iran’s Border Guards Major-General Rahim Khorshidvand said the terrorists had been tracked down through the efforts of the Intelligence Ministry and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

“Two of them died in an operation and two others surrendered themselves to Iranian border police,” he said on Tuesday.

PJAK is an offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which is blacklisted as a terrorist organization by the US, EU and much of the international community. PJAK mainly engages in armed clashes with Iranian security forces along the country’s border with Iraq.
