Terrorists in Four More Towns End Fight with Syrian Gov’t

Militants in four more towns have laid down arms and joined the reconciliation plan with the Syrian government in the last 24 hours, the Russian Peace Coordination Center in Syria said on Sunday.

The Russian Peace Coordination Center said, in a statement, representatives of four towns in the provinces of Lattakia and Homs have inked peace agreement with government.

The total number of the cities, towns and villages that have joined the reconciliation process now stands at 836.

Also, militant groups in eight towns laid down arms under a peace agreement with the government on Tuesday.

“Five towns in Lattakia, two towns in Hama and one in Homs have agreed to end fight against the Syrian government,” the Russian center said in a statement on Tuesday.

Also last Saturday, militant groups in seven towns in three provinces arrived at an agreement with government officials to give up fight and lay down arms.

“Five towns in Lattakia, one in Hama and one in Homs have accepted the terms for the peace process,” the Center said in a statement carried by the Russian Defense Ministry’s website.
