Zionist Israeli plane violates Lebanese airspace

Zionist Israeli reconnaissance plane has penetrated Lebanese airspace in blatant violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, the Lebanese army says.

The Lebanese military said in a statement on Saturday that the Zionist Israeli aircraft entered Lebanese airspace from the southern border at 10:05 a.m. (0705 GMT) on Friday and flew over several areas of the country, a Press TV correspondent reported.

The plane then left the country at 3:15 p.m. (1215 GMT), the statement said.

Zionist Israel violates Lebanon’s airspace on an almost daily basis.

Lebanon’s government, the Hezbollah resistance movement and the UN Interim Force in Lebanon, known as UNIFIL, have repeatedly condemned the fly-overs, saying they are in clear violation of UN Resolution 1701 and the country’s sovereignty.

UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which brokered a ceasefire in the war Zionist Israel launched against Lebanon in 2006, calls on Tel Aviv to respect Beirut’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In 2009, Lebanon filed a complaint with the United Nations, presenting over 7,000 documents pertaining to Zionist Israeli violation of Lebanese territory.
