Syria in Last 24 Hours: ISIL Retreats from More Positions in Depth of Sweida Deserts

The Syrian army troops engaged in a heavy fighting with the ISIL in Toloul al-Safa in the Eastern desert of Sweida, imposing control over several points in the rocks.

The army’s artillery units and aircraft also pounded ISIL’s positions and movements in the rocks in Toloul al-Safa, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its military advances in other parts of Syria over the past 24 hours.

Tens of terrorists were killed and dozens more were injured during the Syrian army’s operations in provinces across Syria.

Sweida

The Syrian Army troops continued hunting ISIL in the Eastern deserts of Sweida on Saturday and pushed the terrorists back from more areas in the depth of Toloul al-Safa region.

The army forces engaged in a heavy fighting with ISIL in Toloul al-Safa in the Eastern desert of Sweida, imposing control over several points in the rocks.

In the meantime, the army’s artillery units and aircraft pounded ISIL’s positions and movements in the rocks in Toloul al-Safa, inflicting major losses on the terrorists.

A field source, meantime, said that the army has started fortifying the newly-captured positions in Toloul al-Safa.

On Wednesday, the army forces engaged in clashes with a group of ISIL militants who intended to break the siege on Eastern Badiyeh of Sweida with attacks against the army positions near Tal Barakat, inflicting heavy tolls on the terrorists.

The army troops also heavily clashed with the ISIL terrorists in 4 operational fronts in Toloul al-Safa region.

Meantime, field sources reported severe clashes in Southeastern Damascus near al-Tanf, adding that the Syrian army forces tightened the noose on the terrorists in Toloul al-Safa by regaining control of new areas.

Also, the army’s artillery and missile units heavily attacked the ISIL positions and moves in Taloul al-Safa region, killing a number of terrorists.

Idlib

The Syrian state news agency released a video of a false-flag chemical attack in Idlib province filmed by the pro-militant White Helmets Organization to later frame the Damascus troops.

The video shows the White Helmets Organization’s members pouring water on people allegedly targeted by a chemical attack in Idlib.

In the meantime, the Arabic-language website of Sputnik reported that there are three different copies of the video with slightly different scenarios.

It further said that in one of the videos the so-called victims of the fake chemical attack are lying on the ground and a rescue team is transferring a man to an ambulance and other members of the team are pouring water on the head of a child.

In the second and third copies of the fake video, the same chemically wounded man is standing and helping other people pour water on the child.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced several weeks ago that terrorists, deployed n Jisr al-Shughour in Western Idlib, were filming nine video clips of a fake chemical attack with cooperation of American and regional networks to raise allegation against Damascus forces and pave the ground for fresh raids on Syria’s soil.

An Arab media outlet reported earlier this month that the pro-militant White Helmets Organization, directed by its foreign supporters, were planning to transfer poisonous materials to new locations in Hama province as terrorist groups were trying to stage a false-flag chemical attack.

The Arabic-language al-Mayadeen TV channel quoted a well-informed source in Jisr al-Shughour as disclosing that the White Helmets were planning to transfer a large volume of poisonous materials to Qala al-Maziq and Kafr Naboudeh in Northern Hama as requested by their foreign backers.

It went on to say that the terrorists and the White Helmets were planning to make a ten-minute video of a fake chemical attack to send two copies of the video to the United Nations, adding that a meeting which was to be held over the release of the video of the fake chemical attack has been postponed.

Deir Ezzur

The US military forces continued illegal heliborne operations and rescued several senior ISIL commanders from the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur on Saturday.

A US military helicopter landed on farms near the village of al-Morashedah between the two small towns of al-Souseh and al-Baqouziyeh, to take away a number of non-Syrian commanders of the ISIL that were possibly cooperating with the US-led coalition.

Heliborne of ISIL commanders by the US military has long been underway amid the US claims of fighting ISIL terrorists on the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River.

Hama-Lattakia

Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) terrorist group has dispatched a poisonous gas cargo to ISIL in Northern Hama and Lattakia, well-informed sources reported on Saturday.

The Arabic-language website of Russia’s state news agency, Sputnik, quoted the source as reporting that Tahrir al-Sham has dispatched six cargoes of Sarin and chlorine gas to the ISIL and Ansar al-Towhid terrorists that have recently been deployed in Northern Hama and Northeastern Lattakia.

It further said that most of the regions, where the ISIL has deployed forces in Hama and Lattakia, are among regions where militants should be disarmed based on the Sochi agreement.

The Arabic Sputnik went on to say that the fate of three other chemical cargoes is unknown after a number of members of the pro-militant White Helmets Organization were killed and could not hand over the chemicals to the recipient group in an area between Northeastern Idlib and Aleppo province.

Other news sources recently said that ISIL’s Asian members have merged in Tahrir al-Sham and deployed forces in regions that are under the control of al-Turkistani Islamic Party in western and Southwestern Idlib.

Aleppo

A number of Turkish forces and Ankara-backed militants were killed in two separate attacks by the Kurdish militias in Afrin region in Northwestern Aleppo, a Kurdish-language media outlet reported on Saturday.

Hawar news reported that the Kurdish units targeted a vehicle of the Turkish troops along a road betweent the villages of Khaletah and Koblah in Shera region in Afrin, killing two Turkish soldiers and injuring several more.

In the meantime, three gunmen of the Ankara-backed Sultan Murad militant group were killed after their vehicle came under the Kurdish militia attack along a road connecting Rajou to Mobata in Afrin, Hawar news said, adding that the Kurds seized the militants’ arms and ammunition.

Raqqa

Civilians in Raqqa province and the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) engaged in fresh round of clashes on Saturday that left a civilian dead.

The SDF opened fire at people in the village of al-Khalediyah near the town of Tal Abyadh in Northern Raqqa, killing a villager.

The clashes in al-Khalediyah came after the SDF arrested young men under a forced recruitment plan.

In the meantime, the SDF arrested several young men in the town of Tabaqa in Western Raqqa to force them to join the militias.

A number of people in al-Savameh square in Raqqa city were arrested by the SDF for an alleged attack on the militias’ base.

Also, a gunmen of the SDF was killed in a bomb blast in the small town of al-Karamah in Eastern Raqqa, field sources said, adding that the body of an SDF militia has also been discovered in Raqqa city amid intensified attacks by unknown raiders on the group.
