Zionist Obama, Merkel discuss Ukraine crisis: White House

images (74)US President Barack Obama has phoned German Chancellor Angela Merkel from his vacation resort to talk about the current crisis in Ukraine.

According to the White House, Obama told Merkel that he welcomed the unified position of his country and the European Union on Ukraine.

The two leaders also held the same belief that Russia must withdraw its troops from Ukraine’s Crimea region and establish a contact group to hold direct talks with the Ukrainian government.

“They discussed the need for Russia to agree quickly on the formation of a contact group that will lead to direct dialogue between Ukraine and Russia to de-escalate the situation and restore Ukraine’s territorial integrity,” the White House said in a statement on Friday.

“The leaders reiterated their grave concern over Russia’s clear violation of international law through its military intervention in Ukraine.”

They also called for supporting “free and fair presidential elections in May.”

The US and six other major industrialized countries have denounced what they referred to as Russia’s military buildup in Ukraine’s Crimea.

The condemnation came in a statement on March 2 by the seven countries of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Britain and the United States, which are together the partners of Russia in the Group of Eight (G8) industrialized countries.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State John Kerry said that Russia could be ousted from the G8 developed nations over its deployment of troops in the restive Ukrainian region.

President Obama has already signed an executive order authorizing visa restrictions on those he accused of “threatening Ukraine’s sovereignty and integrity.”

In a phone conversation with Kerry, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned against “hasty and reckless steps” that could harm Russian-American relations.

“Sanctions…would inevitably hit the United States like a boomerang,” the Russian foreign ministry said.
