Zionist Regime Intensifies Action at Al-Aqsa: Security Guard Detained, Increasing Calls for Mass Gathering at Mosque

On Friday, Israeli police detained Arafat Najib, a guard at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and subsequently issued a deportation order prohibiting his presence at the mosque for one week, with a potential extension.

In the context of recent developments in Jerusalem, tensions persist.

Israeli authorities detained Al-Aqsa Mosque guard Arafat Najib on Friday, subsequently issuing a deportation order preventing him from accessing the Mosque for one week, with potential for extension.

Najib, a highly recognized guard of Al-Aqsa, has repeatedly faced targeting by Israeli occupation authorities. Observers claim this is part of a strategic effort to remove the Mosque’s protectors and staff.

The arrest occurs in the context of increasing Israeli actions against worshippers and Mosque personnel, which include heightened settler incursions into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa under police protection.

In response, activists from Jerusalem and Palestinian territories have issued widespread appeals for large-scale mobilization at the Al-Aqsa Mosque following its recent reopening.

Residents of Jerusalem and the 1948 Occupied Palestinian territories have been called upon to convene in significant numbers for Friday prayer and vigils. This assembly at the holy site is being portrayed as a form of popular resistance, resisting Israeli efforts to isolate the Mosque.

Activists have underscored the importance of regular visits to Al-Aqsa Mosque as a vital measure against Israel’s attempts to enforce temporal and spatial divisions at the revered site. They have firmly stated that Al-Aqsa represents a red line that must not be crossed.

The Hamas Movement has denounced Israel’s continued closure policies, attacks on worshippers, and efforts to alter the site’s cultural heritage.

Hamas has issued a statement condemning recent actions as a blatant violation of the historical and legal status of Al-Aqsa. The organization warned that continued aggression could significantly threaten regional stability.

Hamas has urged Palestinians to demonstrate resilience and uphold a robust presence at the Mosque. It further called on Arab and Islamic nations, as well as international bodies, to promptly intervene to stop the escalation by Israel and safeguard Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
