Zionist Regime Launches Fierce Airstrikes on Gaza, Civilian Casualties Reported

Zionist forces have intensified their offensive in Gaza, conducting numerous airstrikes resulting in significant Palestinian casualties, including families who were in search of sustenance and refuge. Hospitals in the area have sounded the alarm over severe shortages and an increasing number of casualties.

Israel launched at least 50 airstrikes on Sunday targeting the Gaza Strip, with a significant focus on the eastern areas of Gaza City. The military action followed orders for forced displacement, leading to widespread panic among the local population.

Medical sources have informed Al Jazeera that Israeli strikes resulted in the deaths of at least 68 Palestinians over the course of the day, with 47 fatalities occurring in Gaza City and northern regions.

According to staff at al-Ahli Hospital, an Israeli airstrike targeted an aid distribution warehouse in the Zeitoun neighborhood of southern Gaza City, leading to the deaths of ten Palestinians who were searching for food.

In Khan Younis, located in southern Gaza, Israeli airstrikes targeted civilians queuing for food, resulting in several fatalities and injuring at least 50 others, according to sources from the Nasser Medical Complex.

Israeli forces have reportedly shot and killed two Palestinians near an aid distribution center in Rafah, sparking concerns over the potential targeting of civilians amidst escalating tensions.

Hospitals throughout Gaza are reaching a breaking point amidst the relentless assault.

Hannah Grace Pan, a British pediatric nurse volunteering in the region, reported that medical facilities are facing critical shortages, with no available beds, an insufficient number of healthcare staff, and dwindling supplies of pain medication for children enduring severe blast injuries and serious burns.

She described providing medical care to a three-year-old boy, the only survivor of an Israeli airstrike that claimed the lives of his entire family.

His recovery remains uncertain due to the absence of a burn specialist, insufficient fluid intake, and a lack of nutritional support.

In a particularly distressing incident, a pregnant woman was impacted by Israeli shrapnel as she sought refuge in her tent.

Pan reported that fragments penetrated the woman’s chest and abdomen, resulting in the tragic loss of her unborn baby before medical intervention could be attempted.
