The Islamic Jihad leader Sheikh Jaafar Ezzedine and eyewitnesses told PIC’s reporter that four Israeli patrols stormed the town and raided the house of the movement leader Sheikh Khader Adnan.

The witnesses added that the IOF headed to the home of leader Tariq Qa’dan and searched it. They also stormed the house of Sheikh Jaafar Ezzedine and asked about his brother the liberated prisoner in Wafa Ahrar deal Tariq, then threatened Jaafar to arrest him if he continues to participate in activities in support of prisoners.

The three leaders are liberated prisoners, and have all staged long hunger strikes in Israeli jails to protest against the administrative detention.

Meanwhile, several Israeli military vehicles on Tuesday afternoon erected a military checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Silat al-Harithiya on the Jenin – Haifa street, and stopped passing vehicles, local sources said.

They added that the Israeli soldiers, accompanied by intelligence officers, interrogated a number of young men at the checkpoint and checked the identities of the passers-by.

In al-Khalil, a number of citizens were injured on Tuesday following clashes that broke out in Aroub refugee camp.

Eyewitnesses told PIC that a number of military patrols and soldiers stormed the camp, which led to the outbreak of violent confrontations during which several Palestinians suffered suffocation from gas inhalation.

The IOF also fired metal bullets at the citizens, causing some injuries, while the Palestinian young men threw stones and empty bottles at the soldiers.
