Zionist Regime’s Airstrike on Gaza School Converted to Shelter killed 30, Including Children
In an overnight operation, Israeli airstrikes targeted a school in Gaza that was providing refuge for displaced families, resulting in the deaths of at least 30 Palestinians, including numerous children, as reported by medical sources and civil defense officials.

Israeli forces launched an attack early Monday on the Fahmi al-Jarjawi School located in the Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City. The school had become a sanctuary for hundreds of displaced Palestinians from Beit Lahia, a northern town facing heavy Israeli bombardment.
Gaza’s Civil Defense agency reported that rescuers have recovered 20 bodies, including several children, from a school where fires swept through two classrooms repurposed as shelters, leaving numerous victims severely burned.
According to local sources, the casualties have been reported to include Mohammad al-Kasih, who served as Hamas’s chief of police investigations for northern Gaza, along with his wife and children.
The Palestinian Health Ministry has reported that an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential building on Thawra Street in Gaza City shortly before the attack on a school.
An airstrike targeted a residential structure alongside adjacent tents accommodating displaced families. The intensity of the blast caused debris from the obliterated home to crash onto the neighboring tents, resulting in additional casualties. Reports indicate that the attack claimed the lives of at least four individuals.
The twin strikes signify a deepening of Israel’s military operations, as there has been a notable increase in military activity in northern Gaza over the past week.
An Israeli airstrike on Friday targeted the residence of Gaza physician Dr. Alaa al-Najjar, resulting in the tragic deaths of nine of her ten children. The assault also left her 11-year-old son injured and critically wounded her husband, Hamdi al-Najjar.
Israeli military operations in Gaza have raised allegations of targeting civilian families, medical facilities, and healthcare personnel amidst accusations of committing acts of genocide.
On October 7, 2023, Israel initiated a military offensive in Gaza. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the operation has resulted in the deaths of nearly 54,000 Palestinians, predominantly women and children.
